What is our Free Wills Offer?
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust works with legal partners during September to offer our existing supporters a simple will or mirror will for couples. If your solicitor believes that your will is more complicated they will outline the charges you would need to pay for any extra work if you were to continue with the Free Wills service.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust works in partnership with the following organisations to provide different ways of writing your will suitable for a variety of different lifestyles and preferences.
Local independent solicitor
The National Free Wills Network, who have a network of local independent Solicitors firms who participate in the scheme, who will provide you with a list of Solicitors in your local area who will write a Will under this scheme.
Online or by telephone
Co-operative Legal Services, who provide a service where instructions are taken by telephone or online (with requirements for a telephone conversation) to complete the process.
Express your interest in one of these services during the month of September by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 020 3795 2132 to speak to Michael Clark, our Gifts in Wills Manager.

Free Wills follow up calls
From 11–30 September 2019, we will be calling some of our supporters who received the Free Wills mailing using the number 0117 244 3493. The purpose of this call is to check that they received the mailing, to ask them if they would be interested in using the service or need any more information, and to ask if they would consider including a gift to the Trust in their will.
What if I don't want to be called or have any other questions or comments?
If you don't wish to be called or you have any questions or comments about our telephone appeal, you can email our Supporter Care team or call 020 3795 2177.
What if I have been called and I wish to make a complaint?
We aim to ensure that all our calls are positive experiences for our supporters. However, if you do have a complaint, you can email us at email@example.com or write to us at:

Why do I need a will?
About 40% of people do not write a will. This means that their assets will be distributed by a law which was made many years ago, and is not always right for many people, especially those who are not married but live together, people who have second families and people who want to give some money to charity. Writing a will allows an individual to set out their wishes on who they would want to benefit from their estate.
Do I have to include a gift for the Trust in my will to use the Free Wills Offer?
You do not have to include a gift in your will for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, but we sincerely hope that you will choose to do so. Including a gift for us, alongside friends and family, in your will is an incredible way to join the fight against cystic fibrosis and leave a lasting legacy for future generations. Our Free Wills Offer provides an easy and convenient way for you to write or update your will, and we hope you choose to include a gift for us.
How do I apply?
You must contact us during the month of September to register your interest in our Free Wills offer, but you will have until the end of the year to make contact with your chosen solicitor and provide instructions for your will.
To sign up for our Free Wills offer, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 020 3795 2132 to speak to Michael Clark, our Gifts in Wills Manager. You will then receive a note of either local participating solicitors to your home address, or how to proceed with the home visit, telephone or online options.
