The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is calling for applications for Strategic Research Centres
(SRCs), virtual centres of interdisciplinary excellence that bring together world-class researchers to work together on innovative solutions to the challenges presented by cystic fibrosis.
Applicants are asked to detail the team members they will assemble and the problem they will tackle, taking into account career opportunities for young scientists to encourage the brightest and best into the field of cystic fibrosis research.
The SRC programme forms part of the Trust’s research strategy (2013–18), ‘Investing in research to change lives
’, and the latest application round includes an open call for researchers from any area relevant to cystic fibrosis and a closed call for those interested in innovative approaches to the gastrointestinal tract and pancreas.
The Trust currently funds five SRCs, each worth £750,000 and running over three or four years, focusing on areas such as Mycobacterium abscessus infection
and harnessing data to improve lives
The deadline for expressing interest is 15 April, so find out more and apply today.
