Cystic Fibrosis Trust

Chair of Trustees

Your experience could be our strength – become our Chair and help us create a life unlimited for people with cystic fibrosis (CF).

This role is unremunerated.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity making a daily difference to the lives of people with CF and those who care for them. We invest in cutting-edge research, promote great care and wellbeing, offer support for everyone affected by CF, and campaign hard on the issues that matter. We are a modern, forward-looking charity, committed to a step change in the impact we make for the people we support.

Our new Chair will be a highly credible leader and ambassador with emotional intelligence, a professional background and experience of discharging governance responsibilities. You will have demonstrable commitment to the voluntary sector and empathy with life-limiting conditions.

You will lead and galvanise the Board of Trustees for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity, helping develop the organisation’s aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the governing documents, legal and regulatory guidelines, and the organisation’s values.

Although we are based in London, our community is spread across the UK, and we are keen to reflect that regional diversity on our Board. With teleconferencing facilities and reasonable travelling expenses available, applicants are encouraged regardless of geographical location.

Applications for this role are now closed.
